Chairman of Selectors Position Description

The chairman of selectors is a very important role in the support for captains as well as maintaining fairness for all players by adhering to the clubs selection policy. The role is one of organisation and having a sound knowledge of all players.

The successful nominee will possess many or all of the following qualities:

• Good organisation skills
• Sound knowledge of all players on the list
• Up to date contact details for all players
• Awareness of player availability for upcoming games
• Training records kept up to date
• Ability to work with captains to select most suitable players
• Knowledge and application of selection policy
• Email access is important for good communication with captains
